Visited the highest point in the province of Cebu, Osmeña Peak. It was named in honor of the famous political clan in Cebu. It offers an amazing view of multiple jagged hills that resemble the beautiful Chocolate Hills of Bohol. You will witness the 360 degree view of shorelines and a glimpse of Bohol and Negros. You will also witness the beautiful sunrise and sunset here.

How to get here?

From south bus terminal. Take a bus bound to Oslob or Bato via Dalaguete which it takes 2 to 3 hours road trip. Drop off point at Mantalungon market (near Julie’s bakeshop). You may also enjoy the best Batchoy in town. Bus fare rate is P103.00 (fare rate will change).

From Mantalungon market, there’s a habal-habal drivers (motorcycles for hire) who will approach you and will bring you to the jump off point of Osmeña Peak. Habal-habal fare is P100.00 (fare rate will change) and it will take you 45 minutes of roadtrip until you will reach your destination, Osmeña Peak.

There will be a tour guide that will help you reach the summit and it’s up to you if you want one. It’s better and challenging if you’ll just follow the trail by yourself. It will take you less than 30 minutes of trekking uphill.

You can have an overnight camp on the peak and there’s also nearby locals who will help you if you have any problems. There’s also a trail from Osmeña Peak to Kawasan Falls (one of the popular waterfalls in Cebu) that will take you 4-5 hours of trekking.

Wait! There’s more, if you want to have more adventure, visit the Obong Spring near Osmeña Peak with P5.00 entrance fee. Most of the climbers visited Obong Spring for refreshment.
