“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”― Haruki Murakami
“Why do you climb mountains?” Is the question I often received and answered them with a question “Why don’t you climb?”. I’m not being a sarcastic but I want them to know that there are no enough words to describe how it feels like climbing a mountain and to be with the mountain. But one thing I am sure of, every mountain will teach us something.
This is one of the best things we will learn. Nothing becomes real in climbing mountains until it is experienced. If we climb, we will experience that it’s not all about fighting the battles in life but it will also teaches us and helps us to sort out the most important things on earth.
Test Your Limit
It’s like climbing uphill and we’re out of breath and we think that we can’t do it anymore but we realize that we can still move forward and definitely reach the peak we’ve been rooting for. And through that, we will truly appreciate what it is like to stand in the sun beyond limits.
In every mountain we climb, we will learn the real value of life. It’s not all about the materials we have and brag how expensive or whatsoever they are. It:s about the connections to mountains that many of us craves since the beginning, it is about the home of the so many beautiful creatures that shows us how simple life can truly be.
Climbing mountains gives us the perfect quietness of our hearts and nurtures our mind with positive thoughts. It expects us nothing and it wanders us nothing because mountains have a way of dealing the overconfidence that shadows in our life. Mountain wants us to take a bit of determination and a lot of humility in order for us to develop; and we have a responsibility to take care of.
In the end, it will all be worth it
Like how the sun peek and touches our skin, like how the waters whooping around in order to catch our attentions, like how the wind kisses our checks, like how the trees dancing with us and like how the mountain loves to hear every breath we take and every steps we make. Mountain loves us even though we sometimes forget that we should take care and love them too, yet, mountain still believes that we are all worth it from the beginning until the end.
“Keep close to Nature’s heart…and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.” (John Muir)
