“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”― Haruki Murakami
Why do you climb mountains? Is the questions I often received and answered them with a question “Why don’t you?” I’m not being a sarcastic. I just want them to know that there are no enough words to describe how it feels like climbing a mountain and to be with the mountain. One thing I am sure of, every mountain will teach us something.
This is one of the best things we will learn. Nothing becomes real on climbing a mountain but through experienced. To climb, we will experience that it’s not all about fighting the battles between life. It will teach and help us to sort out the most important things.
Test Your Limit
It’s like climbing uphill and we’re out of breath. We think that we can’t do it then we realized that we can still move forward and reach the peak we’ve been rooting for. Through that, we will truly appreciate what it is like to stand on the mountain peak — face the sun beyond the limits .
In every mountain we climb, we will learn the real value of life. It’s not all about the materials we’ve brag on how expensive they are. It’s the connection to the mountain that many of us craves about since the beginning. It’s all about the home of the beautiful creatures that shows us how simple life can truly be.
Climbing a mountain gives us the perfect quietness of our hearts and nurtures our mind with positive thoughts. It expects us nothing and wanders us nothing. Mountains have a way of dealing the overconfidence that shadows in our life. Mountains wants us to take a bit of determination and a lot of humility in order for us to develop and a responsibility we should take care of.
In the end, it’ll be all worth it
The sun peeks and tickles our skin. The wind kisses our cheeks. The trees were dancing with us. The mountain loves to hear every breath we take and every step we make. Mountain loves us despite of we sometimes forget that we should take care and love them too, yet, mountain still believes that we are all worth it from the beginning until the end.
“Keep close to Nature’s heart…and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.” (John Muir)
